12/1 Brown Bag Lunch on Tax Law & Charitable Giving

Filed Under Events | Comments Off

As the year comes to an end, please join your fellow WLU members for a brown bag CLE featuring Fraser Nelson, Executive Director of The Utah Community Foundation, to learn about charitable giving options and how to maximize your charitable-giving dollars.  Fraser will also discuss the intersection of tax law and charitable giving.

When: December 1, 2010; noon to approximately 1 pm
Location: Dorsey & Whitney, 136 S Main St # 900, Salt Lake City, UT 84101, (801) 933-7360

Subject: Utah was the last state in the country to have a thriving community foundation. When clients need an immediate and creative solution to their tax issues, community foundations serve as an excellent resource—not just for philanthropic reasons, but for tax purposes, too.  Learn how the Community Foundation can support you and your clients at every step in the charitable giving process, the impact the recession has had on our nonprofits, and what the foundation is doing to help.

If you would like to attend the upcoming CLE event below, please RSVP by November 30, 2010 to brown.patricia@dorsey.com.  Additionally, this CLE is eligible for one hour of ethics credit.
