Crime and Justice Institute - Policy Specialist

The Crime and Justice Institute is hiring! We’re looking for a professional passionate about criminal justice reform and experienced in advocacy and/or legislative efforts to join our team supporting the national Clean Slate Initiative. This work supports legislative campaigns led by local groups in states across the country to enact clean slate laws to clear millions of criminal records automatically, allowing people with records to access housing, employment, social services, and to move on with their lives. We’re a fun team with a wide variety of backgrounds, but we share a commitment to improving the lives of people directly impacted by the criminal justice system. We’re looking for a quick, strategic thinker with strong legislative/advocacy chops who can help us navigate the rapid national expansion of the campaign.
