ProvenLaw is seeking an experienced litigator for our team to handle estate and probate litigation.

Our ideal candidate has at least 2-3 years’ civil litigation experience, preferably in our practice area, but not a requirement. We can teach you the ins and outs of the practice while relying on your litigation experience. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Interacting with clients about case-related work including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation

  • Making court appearances, hearings, and pre-trial conferences

  • Conducting depositions and discovery

  • Reviewing complex P&L and cash flow statements

  • Drafting substantive pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, etc.

  • Maintaining a schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences

  • Arguing cases at trial

  • Comprehensive legal research

  • Conducting examinations under oath

  • Independently evaluating and identifying potential exposure and risks associated with cases

Education & Qualifications

  • 2-3 years’ civil litigation experience

  • State bar certification in Utah in good standing

  • JD from an accredited law school

  • Exceptional research, writing, and attention to detail skills

  • Experienced in all phases of litigation

  • Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Great client interfacing skills

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Tech savvy

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
