ProvenLaw is a boutique practice that focuses on estate planning, asset protection, special needs planning for Medicaid and assisted living, and probate and trust administration. We are seeking an experienced litigator for our team to handle estate and probate litigation.

About Us

This is a new position in our firm handling litigation matters relating to estates and trusts.
Our ideal candidate has at least 2-3 years’ civil litigation experience, preferably in our practice area, but not a requirement. We can teach you the ins and outs of the practice while relying on your litigation experience. We strive to be the most recommended trust, estate, and tax law firm in the region. Duties include but are not limited to:
Interacting with clients about case-related work including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation
Making court appearances, hearings, and pre-trial conferences
Conducting depositions and discovery
Reviewing complex P&L and cash flow statements
Drafting substantive pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, etc.
Maintaining a schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences
Arguing cases at trial
Comprehensive legal research
Conducting examinations under oath
Independently evaluating and identifying potential exposure and risks associated with cases
Education & Qualifications
2-3 years’ civil litigation experience
State bar certification in Utah in good standing
JD from an accredited law school
Exceptional research, writing, and attention to detail skills
Experienced in all phases of litigation
Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills
Great client interfacing skills
Strong organizational and project management skills
Tech savvy
Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Salary commensurate with experience.
