Assistant Attorney General - Justice - Criminal Nonsupport 

The Justice Division of the Utah Attorney General's Office has an immediate opening for an  experienced prosecuting attorney in the Family Justice Section, Criminal Nonsupport unit. The  position requires a minimum of one year prosecution experience. Applicants should clearly describe  their criminal law and jury trial experience in their cover letter, with preference given to those with  experience prosecuting felony crimes. This position requires excellent written and oral advocacy  skills and the ability to try both jury and bench trials. Salary is dependent on the applicant's Utah  State Bar admission date. For example, a lawyer with a Bar date of 2011 earns $36.62/hour. 

The successful applicant must be a member of the Utah State Bar prior to beginning employment  and have demonstrated the ability to work effectively with law enforcement agencies. Background  checks are completed as a condition of employment. Travel is required as incumbents will need to  represent the State in criminal trials and other legal proceedings throughout the State.
