The Utah Attorney General’s Office, Highways & Utilities Division, is seeking an attorney to represent the Department of Transportation (UDOT) in legal matters handled by the Division. This position requires regular interaction with senior UDOT leadership, their staff, opposing parties, and their counsel. Preference to candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas: contract law, utilities, environmental law, government permitting, and administrative law. Drafting and revision of agency rules and transportation-related legislation are occasionally required. Applicants should have at least five (5) years of experience and be an active member of the Utah State Bar in good standing. Applicants must have the ability to analyze complex legal problems, apply legal principles, and present clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents and arguments.
